Hamas reports that a lethal Israeli airstrike targeted yet another hospital in Gaza.

On November 10, 2023, families of Palestinians escaping from Gaza City and various northern Gaza regions were seen walking along a road towards the southern areas, as captured by AFP.

A deadly strike on Friday targeted Gaza's largest hospital compound, with medical facilities housing tens of thousands caught in intense combat between Israel and Hamas. Gaza's Hamas government and the director of Al-Shifa hospital blamed Israeli forces for the strike, which resulted in a reported death toll of 13. Israel has not provided an immediate comment. The hospital director reported two deaths and 10 injuries, specifically mentioning a strike on the maternity ward.

Israel has accused Hamas of using hospitals, including Al-Shifa, for coordinating attacks and as hideouts, claims denied by Hamas authorities. The ongoing conflict, which began with a Hamas incursion on October 7, has led to a significant number of casualties, particularly among civilians. The United Nations has called for an end to the violence, emphasizing the need for a ceasefire to protect civilians and facilitate humanitarian aid.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected calls for a ceasefire, stating that it would mean surrender to terror. The conflict has resulted in a large number of internally displaced people, with almost 1.6 million displaced since October 7. The fate of hostages abducted on October 7 further complicates the military situation, with talks in Doha involving CIA director Bill Burns and Israel's Mossad head David Barnea.

The conflict has also heightened regional tensions, with cross-border exchanges between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah, as well as Huthi rebels in Yemen launching "ballistic missiles" at southern Israel. Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has stated that the expansion of the Israel-Hamas war has become "inevitable."

The international community, including the United States, has called for pauses in the offensive to save lives and provide aid to Gaza's civilians. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, after a diplomatic tour in the Middle East and G7 talks, emphasized the need for more aid to reach civilians in Gaza.
